What techniques are used at MABAC?
Our ABA team uses current, research-supported ABA techniques, such as Naturalistic or Incidental Teaching, Discrete Trial Training, Verbal Behavior, and Pivotal Response Training.

What does each child’s program look like at MABAC?
Every child’s program is individualized and developed according to the child’s specific needs, skill set, and developmental level. This may include teaching social skills, communication, play skills, executive functioning skills, and/or adaptive behavior. Specific behavior plans can also be developed if a child demonstrates tantrum behavior or other maladaptive behaviors.

Are parents included in the MABAC program?
Yes. All center-based and home-based services provided at MABAC include a parent training component, which leads to greater progress and better generalization of skills across settings.

What is unique about MABAC?
MABAC has highly trained and experienced staff who are closely supervised by a doctoral-level behavioral and neurodevelopmental specialist, Dr. Jillian Bennett. Since the ABA therapists work directly with Dr. Bennett, we are able to offer better continuity of care and more specialized treatment that is developmentally-appropriate for the child and culturally appropriate for the family. We strongly believe in a strengths-based approach with every child and family.

Does MABAC offer evaluations?
Yes. We offer comprehensive evaluations for children, including neurodevelopmental or neuropsychological assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBA), and other behavior assessments, such as the VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R.

Does MABAC offer services to schools?
Yes. We contract with schools to offer home-based and/or school-based ABA services to children with autism. We work with each child’s school team to ensure consistency across settings.

Does MABAC accept insurance?
Yes. Currently, we are accepting clients with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, as well as private pay.

When does MABAC offer services?
ABA services are offered year-round. Some children receive half-day, after-school, and/or weekend hours. Each schedule is developed based on the needs of the child and family.
